At the age of 10, the South-Australian raised Terry Tao became the first person in history to win a medal in the International Mathematical Olympiad. By age 17 he had finished his Master’s thesis and moved to Princeton University in the US to work on his PHd and to co-develop a proof on prime numbers known as the Green-Tao Theorum.
