Following up on one of our earlier stories, new clips have been released by the USA Science & Engineering Expo that show actress and mathematician Danica McKeller alongside filmmakers Seth Caplan and Dano Johnson explaining the mathematics behind their hit movie “Sphereland.”
A snippet from the “Sphereland” website gives the following summery of the mathematically driven movie:
Set on the eve of Flatland’s first mission into their “outer-space” the story presents the intriguing mysteries of triangles with angle sums greater than 180 degrees and flipping into dimensions that are literally out of this world . Full of action, humor and lessons, “Sphereland” will delight and educate audiences of all ages.
Danica McKeller voices the character Aero, who she describes as a non-believer when confronted with the new possibilities presented by additional dimensions.
The trio will appear at the expo next month, which runs from April 24 to 27 in Washington DC.
