Game Objective: To continue a number sequence following a given rule

Summary:

  • To play this game the teacher names the starting number and the rule for the counting pattern, for example, start at 6 and count forwards by 5
  • The students then record the starting number and then continue the number sequence following the rule until they are asked to stop
  • The teacher, with the help of the students, records the number sequence on the board, and together patterns are identified and discussed
