This classroom activity was designed by Gary Ahyick-Wong from Yarraville Primary School and is a variation of “Pick the number that doesn’t belong.” The activity incorporates the peeling of an orange as a timer, and encourages students to use reasoning to deduce which number is the “odd one out.” The activity can be modified to suit both junior and senior students.
